At Mike Worobel Martial Arts, we believe that Martial Arts can be a whole family whole life experience. The Martial Arts extend beyond self defense, providing benefits in academics, business, social areas and family activities. The training is also an excellent source of physical activity, improving strength, cardiovascular conditioning and flexibility.
The children’s programs at Mike Worobel
Martial Arts emphasize self-confidence and
personal responsibility. Classes provide a
mix of traditional Martial Arts training along
with educational and fun games that
combine self defense techniques with
sports.
All of the children's programs follow the
children's belt curriculum and testing
system
In the grand American style, Mike Worobel
Martial Arts is a melting pot combining the
teaching of Chinese Kenpo with Brazilian Jiu
Jitsu and boxing to create a well-rounded
and highly effective form of self defense.
Adults and teens follow the adult belt curriculum to progress through the belt system.
Sensei Mike Worobel began studying Martial Arts in Newton, MA in 1986 under
the world-renowned instructor Master
Joseph Esposito.
In addition to holding a Black Belt in Kenpo
Karate, Sensei Mike Worobel has trained in
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, boxing, kickboxing,
wrestling and he has played semi-pro
football. He also has extensive weapons
training.
He began teaching Martial Arts in 1990. He
has trained sport Karate champions in
both sparring and form as well as training
both Golden Gloves boxers and kickboxers.
